Facebook Post likes and Comments

Dear Forum member,

I wanted to know the best effective ways to get more and more Facebook Post likes and comments?
This question comes in my mind after seeing a facebook page related to education industry, they have around 6K likes on their page, but some of posts get 1.2K to 2.5K likes, even posts are simple, image with quote and website link and comments are either 2, 3 or maximum 5.
On the other hand if I check some other competitor's facebook they have 25K likes but average post like is 10 to 20.
I questioned with my self that is it paid post likes? Is it possible that people liking the post but not commenting? If not why other posts getting only 35, some 100, some 200 and maximum 400 likes but why some specific posts getting 2.5K likes.

So it is generic or through paid or using some tools?

Thanks in Advance for all your answer, please only serious reply.

Are you in the education industry too? The reason I ask is that you can only compare your engagement with someone in the same niche. Different users have different ways of engaging across social media so unless you’re also in the education industry I wouldn’t give it another thought.

If a page has a lot of followers but relatively little engagement, it is highly possible that those followers aren’t genuine which is another good reason to grow your audience slowly and authentically.

Another reasonable explanation and what you won’t be able to tell unless you contact them directly is whether they’ve paid to boost the post with the thousands of likes. It is highly possible that if they’ve done this their reach will go through the roof meaning that they’re likely to achieve more engagement.
To get more likes and comments on your posts, it’s worth paying to boost a couple of posts of your own and the chances are your reach and engagement will increase too.

Without directly asking those businesses it’s hard to say exactly why their reach is so high but these are a couple of answers for you.

I couldn't say for definite but it seems logical.

When you pay to boost a post the reach and engagement both increase significantly as the post sits at the top of a targeted audiences news feed rather than the user having to go and search for the posts (which as we know, just doesn't happen).

It would be worth considering boosting one of your own posts to see if your engagement reaches a similar number (with a similar style of post of course). If it does, great, at least you know and if it doesn't then all you've lost is a few dollars and you can move on to the next idea!

You have to boost your posts. At least until you get a very good engagement.

So boost your best posts, maybe even encourage users to comment and share.

After a successful boost you will notice that your next post will get a lot of free organic reach before boosting it. Basically you have to maximize your gained reach and preferably organic reach which is free. You can get a paidrganic ratio of 1:10 quite easy. Unfortunately Facebook made it quite hard to get a good engagement without paying.
