Thinking of advertising on FB?Watch out for these 4 basic things!!

Hi warriors!! Social media has taken the world by storm and we are now more connected than ever. There are around 1 billion people who sign in to Facebook every day which includes college students, working professionals and potential business leaders. Undoubtedly, it's one of the best source on the façade of this world where people can casually interact and keep themselves updated with each other lives.

But it has an opportunity for entrepreneurs like you and me. It is a marketing gold mine. Therefore,I would like to share 4 basics on how to construct an effective add.

1. It should be visual:

90% 0f the information transmitted to our brain is visual and is processed 60,000 times faster than a text based information. In my opinion, try out GIF for proper image based advertisement.GIF incorporates animated moving images which are pretty fun to watch. If you decide to advertise only one image then make sure that you select the best product from your inventory .In short, whatever type of ad you make your image should be visually appealing and should have a potential to grab attention.

2. To the point:

Don't drag your facts and try to keep it short so that the reader doesn't get bored. By stating facts and using good marketing terms you can raise interest among the visitors to click on your post. Also make sure that you don't embed all major description of the product in one image. For example if you're advertising a diamond ring your ad can be titled as' designed for royalty' or ''hand crafted by English craftsmen'' etc. This will entice your target demographic to find out the details about this statement in the ad. Therefore, always quote things to the point.

3. Create a situation of urgency

''Offer ends soon'' or ''buy now and get'' X% off or "buy 1 and get the other 50% off''. These are some statements that can be used to create a situation of urgency. Facebook can be used effectively for this purpose.

4. Add an attractive value proposition:

It tells your customers that why they should click on your post and dig deep to find out about your product as compare to other competitors. You can provide a social proof as well that how much product you have sold this month or by providing customer feedback by notable people. Customers will then consider your business seriously and will possibly recommend to their friends and family.

Facebook marketing is a huge topic to discuss because everyone out there has different life experiences associated with it. But one thing that I'm pretty sure about is its influence on people and the opportunities it has for new business startups. These were my two cents my fellow warriors. I would love to know about your experiences on this topic.

Cheers

Solid points for effective Facebook marketing - especially points 1 & 3: Being visual and Creating a sense of urgency. Without these two ingredients, your campaign is basically screwed.

I'd also add in the 20% or less rule that Facebook has for text on images - this is really important as if you don't keep this in mind when you boost an image it will be rejected by Facebook.

It's pretty easy to get around it, however you will need to be aware of this.

I would also be really aware of making your boosted posts tailored to your audience to ensure you are engaging with the 'right' group and spending your money on your target market.

    Great tips.

A great point regarding that 20% addition rule. I used to have a general idea about this criteria but never really cared about it because most of my image based ads have separate captions. Undoubtedly, it's one of the essential basics which every Facebook marketer should keep under consideration.

I think modern day marketing is completely reliant on social media sources. You can easily spread the word about your business by targeting a specific demographic. And facebook is definitely a major player in this league.

    Hi,

What is your opinion regarding posting the price of the product on a Facebook ad? Are you pro or not?
    And why?
I saw many people do not communicate the price letting people to surf on the website.
But I do not know which method is better.

Well in my opinion if you're trying to get rid of excessive inventory then posting the price in ads can speed up the selling process. Other than that I don't suggest to use price to attract more viewers to open up your page. Your advertisement and product itself should be self explaining.

      Cheers- James
