"You need to boost your every post" said no man ever.

The ones with your sales message -- a sure yes.

The ones that help people get familiar with you (your best content) -- a sure yes.

Rest? Go with the organic reach.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thought id chime in here!

Absolutely not man, no need at all! Obviously it is useful to do - and pick the ones you want to boost wisely but ask yourself: What is the ultimate goal with the boost? Reach, likes, comments, shares.

You can actually target a specific audience with facebook for free which is great. All you need to do is go to settings (on your page) and then ensure that 'Audience optimization for posts' is turned on.

From there when you go to post you can select the specific type of audience you want to target - all the way down to their interests.

    Hope this helps,

    JB

In my opinion, you dont really need to boost every post, just select the ones that you feel are good enough to get you the desired traffic you deserve and boost them using facebook ads.

Definitely depends on your community and followers.

Slowly build a like-base that is extremely intrigued and passionate about your content.

Build a consistent content strategy and learn over time which content is most valuable to (ie, drives visits to site and converts to e-mail aquisition, etc..) and boost those.

If your "fans" on facebook are passionate about your content they will share it regardless and you will continue to grow on Facebook. I think the issue really lies when your messaging is too broad and your fanbase parrallels that so some messaging isn't intriguing to them at all.

Let me be another person to tell you the same thing. You should absolutely not do that and your approach should be the other way around. If we put aside the marketing posts that could make you money and you should be boosting strongly, deciding on which posts to boost should be based on the performance of your posts. You should not boost posts that you hope are going to do well when you get information on which posts already did well. So look at which of your posts are getting the highest amounts of reach, shares and likes and boost those.

Only post the important posts. There is never a need to promote every post.

If you had a non sales post that was getting good organic reach it would be good to promote that post. It doesn't always have to be sales posts that you promote. Pick some popular ones to get people to notice your page.

No never doing that you will be not be considered as a smart internet marketer.
Let the posts gets engagements on its own and pick the ones that are converting more.

Think twice why you are boosting posts?
Are you looking for conversions or just want to drive users to your Fanpage??

If you are looking to gain direct conversions via fb ads then you should always go by boosting sales posts but if you are looking to gain more engagements then boost the video or photo posts and spend less time over sales posts.

You just need to boost on the vital post to attract the visitors for traffic by Facebook ads. There's no need to boost for each post

You dont have to boost any page unless you want to do it. FB ads can be complicated, so better tread carefully.

You dont really need to boost every post you posted on Facebook, unless you posted about your landpage and you want conversion.

I would also say that if you are going to boost a post-- don't do it right away. I would wait a bit and see what kind of traction the post gets on its own first. If if seems to get good traction or it is really important for your business, then boost the post.

But in my experience, whenever I have boosted a post right away, Facebook tends not to show it virally. Facebook just eats up my money and my post doesn't get as much traction as it would have originally if I just let it follow its natural course. So I usually give my posts a couple of days or even a week before I boost it... that is unless I am trying to promote something that is time-sensitive.

Also, another tactic is if it is an important post- pin it to the top of your fan page. And then instead of boosting the post, run a cheap Facebook "Likes" ad. You will probably get more traction that way and you benefit TWICE. You get the "like" and then when those people visit your page - they see your post pinned at the top of your page.... just a thought.

We (jewellery shop) generally boost around two to five posts per week. Only posts though that are straightforward and interesting also for people that are not following us.

  • Just boost important posts with quotes, news, sales, instant articles only and not the ones with funny stuff, gifs, images, etc. To be more precise, boost sales and article posts as they are more important than quotes and news posts.

I'd boost only the important ones (thanks to my limited budget): The stuff that readers would actually want to know about and share.

Unfortunately for us our Facebook campaigns have had a negative ROI in terms of sales and future engagement. We have spent a few thousand on Facebook.
I would suggest trying it and track your results closely.
I have made more sales chatting on here once every few days, weeks or months, than I did on FB PAID campaigns.

  • No, you don't. Just boost that posts that get the most amount of engagement and gets your the result you want for your campaign (sign-ups, queries). Boosting posts that don't give you the results you want wastes money, time and might end up annoying your audience to the point that they might block you.

No need. You can analyze posts you made and then after learning boost the ones which generated maximum interaction (like, shares etc). No need to boost every post, just some of them will be enough.

it really boils down to what you want to achieve. Personally, I boost every post to build the brand and get exposure. However, Depending on the type of post, I would adjust the budget accordingly. Some as low as $1.
