How to get engagement?

Hi Warriors,I have a problem running Facebook ads and I'm looking for some advice. I am a meme creator and I create funny captions with viral images to go viral. My problem is nobody engage in the comment. I've ran multiple ads on Friday and this morning and it's getting pretty good results per like, but so far no engagement. None. What's the method to get engagement?

Anyway, I feel like getting engagement had to do with this one so called effect. I don't remember what it's specifically called but it goes something like this - If nobody comment on your ads/post, everyone is going to see this obviously and most likely they're probably not going to comment it. But if you already have tons of engagement on your ads/post, then it's like an effect that will trigger other people to comment on it as well. It's like an effect thing. People commented it just because other people comment it. Get what I'm saying?

So what's the strategy here?

  • Right, social proof drives engagement. I know some people even pay for people on places like Fiverr to submit fake comments to get things going. To drive consistent organic engagement though, you need a following that likes your stuff, which will happen over time. If you have a way to connect directly with your audience or give them something they will be grateful for, that speeds things up.

Thanks guys for the really great info! Will have to give guest posting a try!

Right now I'm paying $0.07 for per engagement. I am happy with the results so far. They're coming in but not as much as I wanted to. I will increase more budget tonight and see if that change next day or so.

    Any other advice?

Maybe they're not as funny as you think?

Jokes aside, how aggressively are you participating in the community on Facebook that you're targeting?

I use viral image for this one because those are the most popular. People love them.
Anyway, I'll wait another 24 hr and see.

Regarding community, you're right, I have not participate in any of them. I will try to share it in same groups and see what happens. Thanks!

Try commenting on other similar pages using your money page (not your personal page) so people start to see the name pop up. It may not help a huge amount with engagement but it's worth a shot in addition to the other methods you're using.

Also consider doing a sort of soload deal with a similar page, or a share-4-share with a similar page. Promote each other to get more followers, helps with social proof as others have suggested. Or just pay them a little money to promote your page, link it, put up one of your best memes - fantastic social proof right there.

    Good luck with your project!

Yeah you're right. I have not comment using my fan page profile. I am only using my personal profile this whole time. Thanks for the tips!

    Can someone please help me?

I've recently created 3 ads but they're all in different ad set. Is it possible to move them into a single ad set? I don't like clicking around different ad set just to see each ads inside the list.

Edit: I renamed all my Compaign Name so next time I will know which ad go into which Compaign.

Can you post the meme images that you are using? Instead of images go with videos, they convert better than images.

Comments only depend on your post. First of all, decide what your visitors interested in your page posts and then concentrate on that. Your page will be engaged!

For real engagement you have to understand capability what your targeted audience searching .. beside that to increase engagement you should post specific content with target specific audience like US election "Trump speech " to Democratic Party for fun .. of course you get huge engagement ..

Are you using the scheduled posts feature? You must always have content so they can engage with it. If you don't have an internet connection for 1 days, you will lose some reach already. Always schedule posts so they can post when you are not at home.

IMO, you can try to join groups that are similar to your page. That way, you can promote your page at the same time, giving people a sneak peek of your page. Another thing you could do is to cross promote. Promote your page to various forums and social media platforms.

Try to make the first move. For example - get in touch with the person who likes your fb page. Simply say Thanks for your like. What business are you in? What are you interested in?

You usually need someone to start off by placing a comment, then more people are likely to respond to that comment on your meme. Or get a few comments going. Either through different Facebook accounts of people you know, or maybe you have a separate one, or there's always the option of paying for comments (but I'm not sure that's the best way to go for this).

Try just having someone, or yourself, post 1 comment under it and maybe ask a question in it too. Other visitors may be more likely to respond to that comment and get the conversation rolling.

Ask a question in the caption of your photo to create engagement.
You can also make the question edgy like a political question where people are passionate. You can also be lighthearted and just ask a fun question on the meme photo.

Hi there, first of all, if it is engagement that you want, you need to have some form of "proposal". How can other people engage when nobody has opened a topic? There is nothing to talk about. Go ahead and ask your friends a favor to check out your page and start commenting. That should get it started. Good luck!

Do a split test to check what is the best time to run your facebook ads. Check your facebook insights or google analytics account.

When I did A/B testing to drive engagement, I found the following results.

The post that had significantly more engagement had,

    1) Image that quickly explained the value as opposed to an image that had a business man who looked like he achieved something great

    2) Laser target your content by saying 'FREE for non-profits' OR '3 Month-Trial for Higher Education'

    3) Use action words like Now, Download, Free, etc

    4) Share, share and share on social networks.

I agree that some people pay other people to do the commenting part and that's really a smart strategy. You just might find someone or a group of people, even create a team to get the ball rolling. It's strategy.

Well, in a seminar, I've learned that it is difficult to engage when the person (in this case, your market) is not interested with what you are talking about. If he/she is, then she'd ask more questions or even post a reaction. My advice, keep trying and think of more ways to improve.

I'd have to agree that the effect you are talking about exists. If I was scrolling on something and found that there's nothing going on with that ad, image, post or whatever, then I'd just skip it. So make it interesting enough or I'd have to agree with the comment above, you can ask friends and some people to just get the ball rolling. It could work.

Reach out! If you'd like to get engagement or interaction, you also have to comment/interact with websites of the same field. This will give your site a chance to also be noticed. For sure, they will allot a couple of minutes to check those who comment or interact with them.

  • @richkid12 you can share your post to other pages to increase the engagement of the post. its better not to involve your personal id in this activity.
