How can I optimize my facebook page please?

Have you tried to run a boost a post campaign or similar on facebook, twitter, etc?
What it will do for a small amount of money is that your post will appear in user feeds,timelines as sponsored posts similar to ads, this way I think you can increase your social audience.
This method is comes under Social Media Marketing i.e SMM

Here is what I feel you must do immediately to optimize your facebook fan page:

1. Edit button and change it to Learn More
2. Add custom tabs that showcase your opt in form or other social media pages
3. Change the cover photo to something that will include a link to your website
4. Post twice a day, morning and afternoon.
5. Every post you make should include Step 1: Like and Share and Step 2: Make a Comment
6. Consider placing a likes campagin with Facebook ads with $5 a day budget for 1 week to boost likes
7. Consider placing a boost post campaign for a post that includes the steps I outlined above with a link to your website

These are just a few suggestions you can implement now...

Ok thanks for the tips guys, will look into it. As this is all volunteer work I cannot put out much cash for these projects.

I have another page I am seeking to launch offering "prayer" for caregivers of Autistic kids. My immediate hurdle is deciding on the page address name, these are the two I have right now:
hope4autismfamilies
hope4autismcaregivers


but the ideal name in the URL I would like is:

Hope & Inspiration for Autistic Families


I want the name to be one that people can easily remember but also one which will work for any search engine purposes, can you guys advise me on what's best here please? I don't want the name to be too long for the URL is it would be counter productive?

I can deal with the content later on, my immediate predicament before I do anything else is to settle on the best name for the page address which will work both for SEO and the right visitor seeing the name to come to the page. Can anyone f you guys help us with this please by advising on my post #4?

Just Share your pages to different Facebook Groups. Groups that are related to your niche.

You could buy some likes for your page to give it a boost.

If you decide to go that route, buy them from a 3rd party site. It would be much cheaper that way than buying them using Facebook ads.

Fill out your profile.
Pay special attention to the “About us” section.
Sprinkle your business page with keywords strategically.
Include the phone number and address on your Facebook page.
Use proper Call to action.

Try searching for guest post opportunities on top blogs that discuss autism. In your byline add a reason why people should visit your facebook page.

I suggest you also add more personal posts and images on your page. Let people know more about Tricia, Mike and Amber!

Parents also love inspirational posts. So write about inspiring stories from people with autism: graduations, people with autism finding employment, and share inspirational videos (you can source out on youtube).

Create quote pictures of inspiring quotes about autism.

Write about personal experiences and your aha moments so more parents can relate with you guys and to encourage comments on your page. [Each one of you can add a signature on the posts---so people would know who is posting.]

Post links! Do you have other social media profiles for your brand? You can use them to help drive awareness to your Facebook page.

Offer helpful advice on teaching children with autism and at the end of each post ask them about tips they would like to share.

Write a commentary/review on autism books. Few parents have time to read a full book---give them a few takeaways from the book you read.

Create a twitter account and add your facebook page url on your profile. Go to twitter to engage with people/organizations working on autism especially those from your community.
