Online course recommendations for Social Media Marketing?

Thanks for reading.
There are so many resources for the online that it is overwhelming. Was hoping someone could point me to the material that is known in the industry to be the most respected/highest quality.

Am looking to master all things social media (if that's even possible).

Have the time and money to go the comprehensive route here; any suggestions for online courses/videos for Social Marketing?

Would gladly take book recommendations as well but most of what I read I find becomes quickly outdated...

Mastering every social media is like swimming on multiple boats at the same time instead you should focus on one and dive into it properly I would suggest you to go with Facebook or Youtube.
For courses you can check udemy or lynda almost everyone will portray basics rest twists are on you.

There are a lot of free online courses in social media marketing out there. You just have to choose which ones to focus on first. Social Media platforms are dynamic. They have constant updates and whatnot, you have to familiarize yourself with their pattern/s. You can check HubSpot or Alison for online course regarding Social Media Marketing.

Instead of trying to master all of them (I'm not saying it's impossible)...

Maybe you can start with ONE.

    My recommendation is Facebook.

Trying to master all of them seems (no offense) a little crazy to me.

What if they're not (and they won't) converting?

I'd say start with Facebook, I recommend Kevin Fahey's IM Traffic Facebook Masters.

    Excellent course I tell you.

I'd stay away from free myself because it can take forever trying to get the right
information that YOU need to get going.

Good luck, I hope this helps!

I would hold off on paying money for courses unless you are absolutely sure it is what you want. You could be paying for some outdated information or something so basic that you could learn it just by reading forums.

There are many resources available online. Some are updated and some are not. There are also many paid and free courses from websites that offer certifications like Lynda.com, uDemy, and more.

  • That is my concern, I don't want to spend my time going through a lot of courses that may not be applicable to what I want to learn about Social Media Marketing. Any suggestions on that?

  • I guess you need to know first what platform you want to target or if you want to get a hold of a general knowledge about Social Media Marketing. introspective out is right, you can try online courses first and it will also add up to your credentials since it certifies you right after. You can try first free online courses like Udemy or you can even take a shot in YouTube.

Thanks to all for your replies

A lot of great recommendations here but this was actually my initial problem; too many options and not knowing what is considered the "highest caliber".

My mistake though as I mentioned all social media as opposed to specific platforms.

Id like to (try) and learn as much as I can about Facebook, first and foremost.

Of all the recommendations offered thus far (Hubspot, Udemy, Alison, Hootesuite, etc), which would you consider to be the most up to date and comprehensive?

I have no qualms paying for a high quality product. Looking to spare no expense here (relatively speaking)

Thanks again to all who have replied.

If you want some free courses, you need to get into the free courses online and double check the date it was created. I suggest you try the one's I have provided earlier or also some other sites like Coursera or Alison. I don't suggest going into YouTube videos that much since there are contents that may distract you that are unrelated to Social Media Marketing.

  • The best thing to do while going through the courses that you plan to take is also getting involved in the social media platform. You will not get the right grasp of it if you are not familiar with how it works.

  • I know about a lady "Diana Concoff Morgan". She provides online marketing coaching covers social media, search engine optimization, business strategies etc. She has a lot of experience of providing that service. I recommend you to consult her once. I am sure, you will get what you are looking for.

  • I'll take note of those suggestions. You are right, the best way to learn is to know how it works and see first hand your target market and their interests. Thank you for the great insights!

There are many Online Courses for social media marketing.

If you can not find a useful course on Youtube, you have to look for other platforms like Udemy. You can find courses about Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.

I have taken some of them, some are really useful. I think they have a 30 days money back garantee.

    Good look!

  • Some courses in Coursera are quite good, and they are free. Get away from courses made by "influencers" and that kind of people, most of them talk about just basic stuff.
Anyway, I think the best way to really learn about Social Media is through experience, the truth is most of the courses just show you how to do stuff, but they dont really tell you how to build a good strategy, or how to measure if your strategy is being successful or not, that are the kind of things you just learn when you are working, through trial and error.
I would also recommend that you read some books, the Gary Vaynerchuck books have some pretty good insights (between all his self promotion haha).
