Can I upload business contacts from a CRM to Facebook

Hi Everyone,

A client asked me today if it is possible to upload or integrate the contacts from a CRM to a company Facebook page.

Last time I checked this couldn't be done, however he said he has heard it's possible.

Has anyone found a way to do this?

While I am asking the question, it might be interesting to find out if the reverse is possible and if contact details from followers on Facebook can be pushed to a CRM (all to meet privacy requirements etc).

Looking forward to hearing what's possible.

    I also had a client that thought this could be done, but its not that simple.
    If the CRM has the mails of the clients, you can use that to create a customized audience and an ad campaign for them, or even use it for sending them request through a personal profile. Beyond that, I dont think what you are asking can really be done.
    A few days ago I found some kind of "social CRM", that could be used for linking the CRM with your fanpage, but it had limited features. Obviously, Facebok doesnt want to share much with that kind of tools.

      Yeah, I thought as much. My client does a whole heap of reading and chatting with his buddies and he was convinced this could be done but I'm not convinced Facebook would be keen on this at all either. Can you let me know the social CRM you mentioned, I might check it out and do a trial and see if it might be a good option for him. Thanks

    I know what it feels, clients hear a lot of things about social media and then they want us to do them, but half the time they are just myths and thing like that.
    I tried to google it, but I couldnt find it, I came across the tool when I was searching for something related to big data, ill keep searching to see if I can find it again.

      Thanks that's fine. I'll have a search too - always curious about this however I figure it would be a major FB announcement if this functionality was available, it certainly would change the face of business pages that's for sure.
