Youtube Earning Decrease WHY?

Hello warrior so i start to monetize my Youtube videos hmm 1 year ago more or less and the earning were really good (3euro RPM) BUT in the last months the RPM i around 0.50

I am not able to understand Why is that happening to me or its also for other as well, BUT i mean is from really a lot of months like this, what should i change or do ??

BTW decrease start months ago when i got a strike ....from months and months i dont have no strike anymore and i had not receive More ....So i can't understand why all this HUGE decrease of the earning !! ANY HELP SUGGESTION !!

  • its because month to month changes. Have you ever used adwords? Adwords prices fluctuate all the time, this is the same reason for youtube. When i used youtube ads, the price changes on certain months. My revenue has gone down slightly this month but not noticable. It also depends on your niche. I do web design stuff on youtube so i get a pretty high rpm to be honest

    • Yah i know the season of advertiser and the drop of some keywords but in my case from years to today i haven't change topics in my Youtube channel, the videos are about technology in general like phone, pc etc etc at the beginning the RPM as i said was good for me but now is horrible and i dont think for the season because the drop of revenue is from 2016 so months and months and nothing changed still the same RPM

    • hmm so the for retention rate when the RPM was around 3euro, average was 30% and now he retention rate is still around 35%....so my conclusion is not the retention rate but i am still not able to understand

    Youtube has been seriously down, all my views ,subscriber and earnings have all gone down sine the past three months.

    • Hmm probably but what i conclude that is not from advertiser but not totally sure...i wish if other member as well share they story and experience of Youtube to compare and try to understand what is going there ..
  • It's quite possible advertisers are no longer paying as much as previously.

    Maybe they don't have as many people competing for your keywords.

    New fresh video content is the fix and it is what I would do, also do some good research find some winners to post. You should never put all your eggs in one basket, is what my grandmother would say.
  • Estimated Revenue are just letting you know the possible earnings for your visitors engagement (not views) with your video. Youtube still has to process those earnings to make sure they meet all the criteria to being valid earnings (which is why there is an up to 14 day delay after the end of the month till you see the final earnings in your AdSense). An again, this is estimated earnings. They haven't processed the earnings yet through their system to determine if it earning was warranted.

    as to decreasing earnings by day, of course this happens naturally over the course of a video's life on YouTube.
  • With only few videos the fluctuations seem very high, you should focus on more quality videos and regular uploads would make it stable, growing and consistent in terms of earnings a particular video may show drop down or up the earnings depending up the views the video is getting. So there is nothing to worry about it, hope this would help in understanding the earning process of YouTube.
