Pros / Cons - Facebook closed group or a stand alone page

Quick Facebook group question.

I have a client who has asked me to create a Facebook page for his new app and then a second Facebook page for the staff of this app. \

He wants the privacy settings to be fairly huge on both and he only wants staff in the 2nd page so I am thinking a group set up would be best.

With a group off the side of this which is completely private and requires me to invite people and accept each person

A few questions:
  • Can I get data and reports from groups?
  • Will I be able to invite people on mass on will it need to be individually
  • Is there any benefit to creating a stand alone second page for staff
