The More Time You Spend on Facebook, the Longer You Will Live!!!!!
A new study recently released by the University of San Diego apparently indicates that those of us who really invest time in cultivating a vast social network of friends may actually live longer. Facebook was actually involved directly in funding the study, but all parties involved assure us that there was no fowl play.
According to the study, receiving friend requests actually improved mortality, whereas sending them did not necessarily.
(Below is a link to an article in the nyt about the study...)

I guess this just confirms what we have really always known, which is that if you have a lot of friends you are probably a happier guy or gal.
Now, obviously the article refers to personal use, but perhaps the social networking aspect of freelancing work has a similar affect on longevity?
Do you feel like all those long hours spent on the computer are increasing the length of your life?
