Is this the real problem?! Christmas/Holiday ads trouble!

I finally managed to persuade my partner to pay for Facebook instead of Twitter ads for our online radio. I have to thank forum members who really provided some reasonable arguments to support this choice. As I said, my partner read all of them and agreed. However, we still haven't done a thing about it. Why? Well, my partner has a complaint, or I don't know how to call it, a concern. We are in mid-November. I don't know how you pay for FB ads, per month? So, if we pay now, we are going to catch the Christmas. Then we have the New Year. The things will become "normal" somewhere in mid-January. Right?

My partner thinks we should wait. His argument is that nobody will see these ads because people are traveling, organizing parties, and similar. On the other hand, I think this is the perfect timing. We are online radio. We play disco classics. So, if you aren't going to listen to the music now, when would be the best moment? You aren't going to wait to get back to work, are you? So, we had a discussion about it. Honestly, I don't know what to do or suggest. Is this period of the year usually considered as the low season? I know that people buy like crazy this time of the year. I'm one of them. But, what's happening with the ads?

Maybe this is a stupid question to ask, but I would really like to know. We have an extremely difficult beginning. After all technical problems we had, streaming issues and similar, the last thing we need is to throw the money in the air during the wrong time of the year. Again, I rely on some quality answers and opinions like the ones I got the last time. Please don't forget that we are an online radio playing only disco classics. So, this is the right time of the year to reach new listeners. However, I'm really not sure if this time period is a perfect match for some social media advertising activities. Maybe my partner is right about this one? I'm really not sure. Thank you for your help.
