How to make someone skip straight past your social media posts!

There are some things which people are STILL doing in their social media posts which are making users scroll straight past, or even worse, unfollow. Silly little things which are downright annoying for anyone reading them, and must be stopped immediately!

1) Clickbait.
Facebook penalises you, you annoy your audience, just stop it! If you're not sure what click baiting is, its writing a sentence to introduce your post which teases the reader into clicking on your article 'You wont believe what happens next' 'I couldn't stop laughing at number 7' 'You'll fall of your chair laughing when you read this' That kind of thing is old hat and its not making you any new friends! Give a proper introduction to your article or post and provide people with interesting content that they will want to read. Don't tease them it doesn't work.

2) Using trendy words.
A lot of words and phrases are only trendy for a short period of time, but unfortunately they get overused until the very sight of them makes every man and his dog cringe. Some examples: Bae, on point, fleek, homie, ninja, rock star and the worst one guru!

3) Using jargon.
If you have to work in synergy with someone; collaborate, or optimise something you're using corporate buzzwords and your posts are unappealing to the majority of people reading them. I get that you have a target market, but there are much better ways to get people to stop and pay attention to your content.
Those are just a couple of my pet hates and I don't think I'm alone when I say that! What are the things that you see a lot of which make you keep on scrolling?

Posting TOO often is a great way to get people to just scroll past! People get over seeing your name and logo in their feed so they either just keep scrolling, or unfollow altogether.

GREAT point! It's definitely important to stick to a schedule based around previous insights available from social media platforms.
