Less reach if you use Buffer or Hootsuite

Hey everyone!
"Don't use Buffer or Hootsuite. Facebook doesn't like that!"
At least that's what I was told.
Does Facebook or any other social media platform purposely give you less reach because you are using apps like Buffer or Hootsuite?

Who really cares? I've been using Hootsuite for long, and have automized the whole posting process. In any other case I would have to manually add my posts, which would mean a lot of time.

But to answer your question, I don't believe that using them would give you less reach.

How often are you posting, and how many platforms? Does the content differ for each platform?

I would care, especially if it had a significant impact. Just like how Facebook is really pushing Live content, maybe they have decided to hide automated? I imagine they know if it's coming through an API or their own interface.

And scheduling is something they offer. Even though it's far less effective than Hootsuite, they have their own scheduler and I'm sure they want users to use it.

Before it was great to share your YouTube videos on Facebook instead of uploading one directly. Then they made that type of content less appealing so we learned to upload videos directly to Facebook too.

I'm just hoping someone has the facts on this subject.

If someone's problem isn't being/staying automated, but it's reaching out to more and more, AND automated content receives less organic reach, then I would think it's an important thing to care about for a lot of social media marketers.

I don't thinks its that FB doesn't like that, its probably more the people who you are reaching that doesn't like that. You can see when something is posted from buffer.

You as a follower of a page can't see when posts are posted by buffer. On pages its only visible by the one's who manage the page. https://faq.buffer.com/article/400-c...y-buffer-stamp

My point is, Facebook knows whether or not you are posting from buffer, do they give these posts less organic reach or not. Im hoping someone that know's something can answer.

Facebook does lowers the reach when links are shared. But I would deny to the fact that only buffer and hootsuite links are only at less reach.
