Hi, im from the UK and have made a facebook to run adds, Can i set my account country to the united states and currency to USD and set up an add using my credit card?

Does it have to be United kingdom and GBP because they will notice my card is in the UK? I just don't want my account frozen

Thanks
Michael

I would read their terms of service here: https://www.facebook.com/terms.php and make sure your country is allowed to place ads on facebook.

I don't see why you couldn't, but I would check to make sure. Just make sure you follow their guide lines and you should be ok.

    Hope this helps,

Michael, apparently you have no experience in FB advertising. The answer to your question is yes, you can put any credit card you want in your account, as long as it is a real cc and your account is real. This has nothing to do with your ad campaigns. No matter where you come from you can target any Audience you like in any country, city or even small village in the world --well, not the whole world, but the biggest part of it, and especially in the US.

Not sure you read and understand my question correctly. I know i can target any country etc However, my question is that can i set my billing as the US and use a United kingdom credit card this would be kinda cheating as i will be paying less.... I tried it on a previous account and they sezied my accout, so it turns out, that you cannot do that.

      Thanks

Yes you can set your currency to any currency you want, do not need to be a UK. However almost new ads accounts will be frozen until they finished verifying you're the owner of that account. That's no problem.

    Good luck to you,

"European Union Customers: Facebook needs to ensure that your tax information is correct in order to properly determine the application of Irish Value Added Tax ("VAT")."

My ad is now active, however, i am getting the error shown above? Do i need to fill it out or will be ad still work fine?

    Thanks

one note of caution, with how volatile the UK pound is right now you may want to keep an eye on xe.com so you dont end up paying much more than you thought you would.
