Was getting sales from Pinterest traffic until..

I had been pinning on Pinterest and getting a lot of repins which resulted in a lot of click throughs. I sent all traffic directly to an affiliate link, which resulted in a few sales, but my account got banned and naturally so did the pins.

So now I know for sure that direct linking isn't good for long term, where should I send the traffic?

Should it be a blog style site with articles with banners on the side?

If it is recommended to go that route, how should I structure the site in order to drive traffic to whatever affiliate program I'm promoting?

Should I use banners?

Should I pre sell in the actual articles?

Should I use exit popups?


I'm sure I can make this work since now I have a good way of driving traffic that I can stick with.

Any ideas?

    I would say blog style or a funnel. Try and collect their email addresses so you can market to them no matter what (aside from unsubscribes of course). Blog style would likely work because Pinterest people are already used to clicking on pictures to get them somewhere. I would suggest making sure that you try to list build but the banners would likely do well.

      I agree creating a sales funnel will be much better for the long term. Building an email list is also much better long term because you never know what will happen with social media.
