Getting More Activity with Facebook Page

I have a FB page that goes along my site. Both site and FB acct are 5yrs old. I get about 1600 visits a day or so on site and the FB page has just about 6000 likes, but when things are posted there is generally not too much activity.. maybe 5-8 likes, a few shares.. Outside of having some contests for free content or I post a hot topic about something, that gets a lot of shares. Anything else I can do?

I have run a few Boost caimpains in the past year. some if it was ok.. but still seemed below par IMO

Any ideas?

    Try put interesting content with question titles, that will help you reach comments which will gain you more traffic to post. Also, try to make some competitions - comment your mind and you will get something... ETC. Thats simple way. Nowadays, people just viewing articles but not acting... And. It depends in which niche you are.

      Thanks. Yeah, i have done some of that a bit. I am approaching 6000 likes sometime this week, after 5yrs though. Seems kind of slow. I got some contests going up, will try some competitions and stuff..

    - Be active on your page
    - Promote your FB page
    - Get fans to tag photos
    - Post interesting content
