Image in FB ad too small for Instagram?

Hello everyone,

I'm getting the message that the image in my FB ad, 300 x 250 pixels, is too small for Instagram whose images must be 600 x 315 pixels.

Is there a way around this?

For starters, the banner I'd like to use is a very good, professional looking banner provided by the company. (i.e. and they also don't have a banner that would fit the above criteria).

Thanks in advance.

If you go on Canva you can upload the image and make on a size that fits.

    1. Just select the size (dimensions) you want to make the image
    2. Upload the image
    3. Insert the image in the design
    4. Size the image to fit
    5. Download as a png file

Note; If you don't have an account on Canva you will need to sign up, but it's free.

There might be easier ways, but that is a way that I would probably do it.

Perhaps, he meant it from how to create a "600 x 315" image perspective? Anyway, I'm past that stage. Now, I'm working on coming up with a 600 x 315 graphic that does not have too much text space in it. Yes, the FB ad does have that requirement. Thanks anyway.
