Targeted posts on Facebook | Need help

Maybe it's a stupid question but I would like to learn more about targeting/restricting audiences on fb. Thanks in advance!
I would like to target a couple of posts to specific countries and not all.
My question is: If I restrict a couple of countries, can those people see my post when it is shared in a group they are in or shared by a person they know? I mean they follow them, they see what they do usually how would they percieve such an action? Will they see that the person shared something but can't access it, unable to click on it or can't even see that the person shared anything or is not listed in the group they are in? If I am right, that way can you target specific audiences in groups too?
For example: I have a fb page and I would like to share my content to mainly European and North American countries, if I restrict for example: Japan, China, etc. and I share that post to my group where there are people from those restricted countries, what would happen?
"Limit who can see this post. Only people in the audiences that you choose can see this post anywhere on Facebook." That's the official text from Facebook but I would like to make sure it's not a "Content not available in your country." annoying error message when people start to share my content. Hopefully it's completely invisible.(This would be logical)
