    Good move by youtube. Hopefully, this will decrease the number of spammers and give more opportunity to genuine people to grow their channel.

    Yeah! This is great step by youtube. Many people violent other's copyright and upload their videos and earn money. But this kind of activities can be reduced a lot. But still there are other indirect ways to monetize youtube channel which can be both sad and great thing.

    Like everywhere else the barriers to entry to the world of making money online are getting ever higher.

    But for successful people there are true riches awaiting. I now watch more YouTube than I do conventional TV. This is a trend that will intensify. YouTube offers me deep deep niche videos, whereas TV is just too broad. This is of course very attractive for advertisers as well.
