There are a bunch of alternatives. I liked Instagress so got used to using them but all hope is certainly not lost as you can use any of the other awesome automation tools out there. Here are some to try:

Automation tools:
1) Instaeasy.com - By fellow marketer Luke Maguire
2) Mass Planner
3) Archie.co
4) TurboGram
5) Instalex.pro

There are plenty of others out there. I am probably going to go with or at least try InstaEasy first.

Well that kind of sucks but my Instagram course teaches how to do things manually so I'll just go back to manual work now which is fine.

  totally agree with you, this is clearly what Instagram is trying to do anyway so might as well get comfortable managing IG manually... Sucks for those guys who spent tons of money developing their softwares!

That is crazy... perfect example of how Instagram isn't playing around I can't believe Luke's service closed!

Apparently it's a huge fiasco right now with Instagram, apparently they've even sent out cease and desist orders to Instagram connected apps/software companies that autopost or automate and also mainly because Instagram is claiming people cannot use "Insta" or "Gram" in their SaaS product name, but people are saying Instagram can't enforce that.. who knows.

Just keepin it all organic, laying low and steering clear of Instagram automation at the moment!

Using bots for this kind of things is wrong from Instagram point of view.
So don't suprisse yourself if at some point your account is banned because of the usage of this tools.

Facebook is cleaning more and more fake and bot accounts which is good and insta will do the same at some point for sure.

I tend to agree with you. I think it has more to do with how spammy some people have been using automation softwares on Instagram that Instagram has no choice, they have to keep the platform clean.

I think where the tactics of people who use Instagram softwares go wrong is the spammy commenting. The unrelated spammy one word comments or single emojis looks spammy and obvious it's from a software.

For example, I saw recently how some account posted a public alert style post on Instagram about how multiple women in the DC area just went missing simultaneously, I don't watch much news, but I think they're still missing.

Well lo and behold, here come the bot likers and commenters from people using these softwares, coming in with comments like "awesome!" or "great post!" or "so cool, great picture" on a serious post about missing women.

The ultimate definition of spam there. totally unrelated, and just stupid and careless at that point

  I think softwares can be very helpful, but using them in that way is just incredibly spammy and doesn't surprise me that Instagram would want to put a stop to that.
  
  There are very right ways to use softwares and very dumb wrong ways like that example above. So I'm definitely not against using softwares, but I am against using them for spamming like that and ruining perfectly good tools, because Instagram will probably be clamping down on that to protect their ad product, ad revenue.

Personally, I use instaranker.com for a while and I believe it's the best alternative to instagress that I've tried so far. They have a comparison matrix on their website, their control panel is very powerful and appealing.

I wouldn't recommend using automation, especially after Instagress got the boot.

Plus, there's better ways to get 500-1000 followers a day without using any type of automation.

now insatgress is closed (down) maney users search for best alternative for that, i think instazood is the best alternative Instagram bot to instagress, absolutely there is some other system like: instamacro, graminsta, archie and etc , but instazood have similar tools and prices

Bot era is ending on Instagram. Mass planner is also gone, says "permanently discontinued" on their site. Instagram is cracking down hard and automation will almost certainly get you shut down and banned.
