Social media targeted marketing tips

Hi there,

I wondered if anyone had any tips.

On social media...for paid advertising there is the option to promote your posts via detailed targeting (e.g. by interests)

In your experience is it best to keep the list as short as possible if you want the audience to buy your product? Or is it best to add as many relevant terms to the list?

E.g. if you were to sell a chamomile tea....would you just target those who are interested in chamomile tea or add to the list things like herbal tea, green tea, superfoods etc...

Finally have you had better experience paying for reach/impressions or engagement if you want the user to eventually click and buy from your site?

Many thanks

The more detailed and targeted your campaign is the more responsive your campaign will be.

    Choose CPM promoted post.

and choose che chamomile tea, as in the example, and after this create a LOOKALIKE list of the people reached, so you can find people similar without too much widening the targeting

I would run multiple set of ads to see which ones converting better since sometimes detailed targeting might not convert better and normal ads would work better. You cannot say anything about facebook ads.

I would be very specific as per my target - Age, Location, Sex, Interest and so on.

Use text space with only relevant keywords, use one image with one attractive/relevant punchline.

I had great results (clicks, leads, converisons) on facebook and Linkedin once I did some campaigns for my customers.

    Good luck
