How to build a successful fan page

Hey Warriors, I have few questions.

What is your method for publishing content and how to build an audience on Facebook?

So far I've been posting in the bigger related groups and it's working pretty good so far. I'm getting at least 10 unique views per day now. I know it's still not much at the moment but it's working.

My question is what do you do when you have build a fan base up to the tens and hundred thousands. I know you would monetize, but how are you keeping up? Do you add different admins to help you publish content? Do you hire a team? Please share some of the things you're doing that's working for you.

I have a positive feeling where this will take me. I just can't imagine the kind of work I will be posting. It's too much for me to handle.

  • I get everything except #8. I probably did this wrong all along. I realized different audience consume content differently. I need to learn how to speak to my audience. The problem with me is I'm psychopath. At 9 AM I'll publish a funny/savage memes then later at 12:10 I'll published something so romantic. I realized 80% of my audience respond better to lovely posts. From now on I will only try to post relevant content.

This is how everyone learns, from experiences.

I run legit file download sites, I do the same thing when creating new files. I go back and look at the best download counts and create new files based on that data. This is how you progress, it takes time and small steps.

Every once in a while I'll throw in a new subject type to see how traffic responds. Keep the popular files, weed out the less popular files/subjects. Repeat...

Look at your own data, keep notes, be responsive to your traffic actions. You'll eventually dial in on what keeps traffic coming back for more.

  • I notice I have 3 people who just unfollowed me because I changed my page name. LOL

I haven't put a link to monetize yet people are so quick to unfollow you for unreasonable things I guess.

I figured some of these people are waiting for me to publish a post. And if they don't like it they will quickly unfollow.

    Does anyone experience this issue?

You are always going to get people who are not going to like certain things, or unfollow because they get offended by something or sometimes they're just in a bad mood and your post comes through their feed at the wrong time! Don't let that bother you unless you have an exodus of people unfollowing!

    Hi,

you have asked how you keep up when you have a large audience - one way that will help you if you are not already doing it is to schedule your posts.

This means that you can spend some time creating a series of posts at a time convenient to you and then schedule them to be posted at the most successful time for viewers to take action.

If you have a large audience of 1000s you can also use audience optimisation:

    https://www.facebook.com/facebookmed...etting-started

This will help you target your chosen audience more successfully.

    Hope this helps.

It is very simple, but it takes time.

You have to make sure that you post great content and you post it regularly. Only then will you have valuable fans. It is much better to have 500 engaged facebook fans as opposed to 50,000 fake fans. You will never be able to monetise fans that you by through sites etc. Only those that you collected yourself and are engaged.

    Whats up Farris

So lets talk a bit about what you are really trying to do here. You want people to land on your page - Right?

Well lets talk about what the real challenge is here, and that's making connections with people.

No matter what you sell/promote/market/distribute/advertise online, you have to put things out there that will resonate with those type of people.

If you are marketing to everyone, then you are marketing to no one!

Now I know this is a meme website, but still - have you asked yourself this?

    1. Who am I targeting
    2. What do they like most
    3. Are these people on my friends list
    4. Does anyone who's seeing my post care
    5. Am I posting my content at a relevant time
    6. Are my meme's relevant to real time - or are they old
    7. Am I leading with value

Personally, I think you can post once or as many times as you want. There is no right or wrong answer however, if people aren't finding any value in it then it really doesn't matter how many times you post bro.

You don't have to listen to a word I say.

I think you should focus on people first before you start pushing anything out there.

Follow the people who are liking other meme's - read any comments they leave behind, and join in on the conversation.

Become part of the community bro.

This may take time my friend. It took human beings thousands of years to figure out how to build a cell phone.

Submerge your self in the "meme world". Meet new people, have conversations, research your market, and have fun my dude.

    I hope this helped.

  • Sharing posts to related groups works pretty good for me right now. But I'm having a little problem here. Most of the engagement happens inside the group. Very few will check back on my page and comment there, but I do get 2-3 fans per day coming in, and about 2-3 comment directly inside my page.

Is there a method to get more people to follow back to my page?

I realized if you post a link or shared a post you'll get less click unless you upload them directly inside the groups.

    Hmm.. any idea?

It would be better to hire Social Media Experts. You are doing pretty good and getting results according to efforts spend. There are lots of things other than you are currently doing like creating some informational infographic, creation of some educational PPTs, Share some trendy questions along with other posts on FB page. Start commenting on some relevant topics so other profile owners visit your account and page. There is no limit of ideas for social media once started!!

  • What's up Warrior it's been a while. How you guys doing?

I just want to get back to let you guys know about my result. It's been really good!

2 days ago I uploaded a video that I made and it has well over 160 shares so far. The video has well over 30k reached, but the engagement is not so good. I simply shared the video to related groups. All the engagement are happening within the groups and not on my page. I want to get them to my page and comment instead. Not the groups.

Any ideas how to do this?

I was able to gain 100 new followers, though.

Approach another successful page and ask them if they can do a shout for you or feature one of your posts. They will charge a fee but it can be worth it as it could bring in more likes and followers then advertising with Facebook for likes.

That's what I did with my page, I was lucky because I 'piggy backed' off another page which brought me in some initial fans for the page.

My fan page is doing really good now. I found out what works for me now.

You're right.. it has to do with high quality content.. but there's a secret to it - the content must be related to them and it has to call their emotion.

  • Hey guys, I'm back! I need a bit of directions how to grow my fan page. I'm at 1800 followers now and I am getting over 200+ shares on each videos post since I created this thread. I started off creating videos which gave me a lot of engagement. These engagement has more to do with people tagging their friends only. Now I am posting photos. The photos works really well and much better than my videos I've created! Photos are getting me under 50 shares each! but way more engagement than my videos. The photos engagement are actual engagement + tagging their friends combined! I'm in a pet niche and people love photos! The problem is I steal these photos from Pinterest only. What I wanted to do now, is to have my audience send me their photos and feature them on my page. How should I ask them so they will send me their photos? How should I do this? Any pointers is greatly appreciated!

The biggest page I have built reached over 100,000 likes. Regarding the flow of content, there seems to be automated tools that may help get content. Personally, I have used the manual method and most of the time, I did not update pages daily. Unless you have a high number of pages that you want to update daily, I don't think it is necessary to hire more than one outsourcer to do the task. Granted I have used paid traffic for my pages, so if you rely on organic traffic , maybe more frequent page's updates are needed.

One thing to point out is that you may not want to be trying to build a long term asset on Facebook. they can shut a page down without notice. Leverage that platform, to build a list or drive traffic to your site for example.
