Someone JUST stole my 3.3 million follower FB page. Now what?

I can't believe I fell for it.

They said they wanted to advertise with me on my page. Got me to create an ad account. Added them as co-advertisers. As soon as I added my page, it was gone.

I'm still an admin (I logged in under my wife's admin account) but I don't think they know I'm in there. However, they show up as the page owners and I can't change that.

Now what? I've sent several help tickets to FB, but so far no reply. I can't seem to find a way to get it back by googling the topic.

Anyone have a contact working at FB/IG who does acct recovery & verification?

You shouldn't of fell for it. There are scammers everywhere and once they have your admin rights then there is not much you can do about it. Facebook is pretty much hopeless at helping you get the page back.

It happened to myself and an old partner in our page. He fell for the scam and we lost a page, unfortunately.

I started a new one back in January this year and built it to 145,000 fans now and I get the same scam messages from fake accounts almost daily now. They offer to help you with Facebook business manager and once they have the rights they then delete you as admin and take over the page.

The only thing you can do is keep trying with Facebook to see if they can help.

You can report your issue with facebook. The is question mark in every facebook page for reporting a problem. Just use that.
