270k Facebook Fans & Monetization

Hi all,

I've read a lot of freebie internet marketing courses and I can't seem to put everything together on how to monetize this Facebook crowd I have. I'm in the survival/prepping niche and have around 270k fans (these followers are cheap and stingy). I'm getting email signups by offering a 50 page ebook for free with an opt-in rate above 50%.

I have developed an email list with a drip campaign that sends every 7 days giving them free prepping tips and then slowly linking them to amazon affiliate products and an actual physical product in a funnel I sell that's fairly cheap. I'm having very little success. I wouldn't say I'm an expert in the niche, so I can't offer any type of course or training in prepping as an upsell - I don't think they would buy it to begin with as they are a skeptical group.

Can anyone offer me some guidance with this audience or maybe a strategy? I feel like having that much of an audience, I should be able to get some bites if done correctly.

Thanks!

Tough crowd like this are hard to break mostly when they are skeptics. What I would suggest you do is maybe send them to CPA offers cause I don't the trust you've built with this group from your automated email follow up messages cause that really counts.

You can also add a link to a few offers in the free PDF for the new leads that joined the group. Hope that helps.

CPA offers are a great idea - never thought of that. Do you know any in particular that this type of audience might consider attractive and where to find them?

My email open rate is above 20%. On the initial email to download the book it's around 60%. I dare say a huge majority never even read the book. It's just free, so they wanna get it while it's being offered and read it later. Anyway, so you're saying put CPA offers in the book as well?

      Thanks for the insight!

Aside from amazon, you could try Pagez and write articles to try to monetize your audience.

  • I would hit the list 3 times a day with a combination of tips & offers. Those who are cheap and greedy shouldn't be on your list anyway, they are a waste of time and money. Those who stay on your list when you hit them hard are the real fanatics that would actually buy from you, not time wasters like all the rest.

Having a huge list of freebie seekers is useless, segment that list by sending more emails, send again to those who didn't opened, send again thos THOSe who did not open, and after a few campaigns like this one you'll see exactly who is responsive enough to actually buy the products you recommend.

Once you have the active list in hand, don't be shy! Promote CB products, CJ products, Amazon products, and anything else you REALLY think could be of value to them.

Ronnie thanks for the reply. The issue I've had is people that aren't interested are marking me as spam instead of unsubscribing. I'm at 0.21 complaint right now and you start getting scrutinized by Amazon if you reach 0.5. I was sending emails every 2 days and they were just informational, not even salesy. I had to scale it back to every 7 days so my complaint rate would not go up. So I'm not able to push them through the drip campaign as fast due to that.

Issue with Amazon is I cannot directly link from the email due to TOS, so I have to point them to a landing page which requires 2 clicks at that point and the conversion rate drops.

I think it's just going to be a slow trial and error for these guys. They are really skeptical. My drip campaign is about 20-25 emails.

Thanks again for the feedback and suggestions, great help!

Hi, you might want to view the YouTube video on "How To Build a huge FB group to make Money Affiliate Marketing' by Tanner J Fox. He shared how he made money selling Amazon products on FB.

Thanks Elizabethlim! I watched some of his videos, but I have a FB page and not a group, but guess I could try to push some of those over to the group using FB live.

Yes, mainly USA. I paid for many of them using FB ads trying to do ad arbitrage.

Hello jjbventures, I can build any kind of website. Would you like to us to partner together, you get the clients with your huge facebook fans and I build the website? Would that sound cool?
