Amazon Associates and Twitter

Hi,

I am new to internet marketing and am looking to sign up for amazon affiliates over this holiday break.

I want to experiment with twitter but on the amazon sign up it says to list your mobile url and that only "verified" twitter accounts that have "enough followers" will be considered.

I'm not sure how strict amazon is with this, or how many followers is "enough"? If I made sales via twitter with only 200 followers (I know it might be unlikely) would I not get paid?

If i answer 'yes, you would be paid' - is that worth anything? Of course not - I can't answer for Amazon.

One point I will stress - Amazon enforces it's TOS and is also good about answering questions. Go to the source - or to Amazon forums so you are getting FACTS rather than opinions.

Often rules are left a big vague for a purpose - it allows some flexibility in enforcement.

I doubt 200 followers is enough in all honesty. To my knowledge, the influencer program requires the accounts to have a blue tick anyway.
