Lead generation with facebook ads?

Hello everyone!

My funnel is up and i'm looking to generate leads through facebook ads, so i would like to learn from your experience.

I'd like to hear from you on how do you manage your lead gen campaigns. let's say you found your winning ads and you're getting a very low CPL ($1 per lead for example).

So how many leads you aim to have in your list before you start making judgement. cauze in this situation may be you spent $500 to get 500 leads but you found that these leads doesn't convert on your backend, in case 500 leads is a sample size to test all your funnel. Even if they are targeted leads may be they will not convert cauze they are already in dozens of other competitor's list who have sent them the same offers that you have!

Anway i would love to hear your advices from different sides!

Thanks!

I don't recommend FB ads at this time. For some time now their network (including instagram) has been plagued with click fraud. Check out the thread below. It mimics what I have experienced. Most people on her don't go the extra mile and monitor the traffic they get from FB so they rave about how great it is...wrong! https://www.facebook.com/business/he...53880424557933

Hi searchnology, in your opinion why would anyone one use bots to click on Facebook ads, they are not earning anything from it (ads on facebook.com not the network)?
      Would appreciate the reply.

One of the tactics for bots on FB is to drive up the cost for competitor's ads. Similar blackhat tactics where used in the past to get websites blacklisted for SEO or to drive up PPC costs for adwords. The difference is Google Adwords refunds those fraudulent clicks often without you having to ask. Facebook rarely refunds even if you ask and can prove the click fraud.

Facebook has been sued multiple times for click fraud. Get educated before making ignorant statements. This is exactly what I was talking about when referring to people on this form giving advice. https://nypost.com/2016/11/03/facebo...nt-ad-metrics/

In the same time they not want to risk but on the other hand they were sued couple of times already. Point is that someone will not tell you officially if they are using bots or not (they have even different tricks because of the laws around the world). Not sure about the FB but some others websites had similar issues in the past.

If out of 500 leads, you get no sale then there is something wrong with your funnel or you are sending the wrong leads through the right funnel. Also, why don't you start with adwords, bing e.t.c and gather data before using FB ads. I do not understand the obsession people have with FB ads. Making profit with FB ads is not as easy as people think.

In my opinion FB is just good for brand awareness and exposure. They are never good at funneling leads or getting conversions. After all its a social networking site.

I recommend guest posting on high authority websites in place of Facebook & Google paid advertising.

Recently Facebook updated their algorithm. Now the post reaching is decreases. So wait until the algorithm set back. Now use Google ads. It's better for your website ranking & improve quality of your website also

    I prefer search leads over interrupt leads. CPL is higher but the CPA is almost always lower. { i am in the legal lead vertical }

The main problem we have experienced with FB ads is the pricing.

With average click prices running at $1 and average conversion rates running at 2% you'd need to spend $50 per conversion.

Feel free to contact us if you require any further advice.

What do you mean by conversion in your case (leads or sale)? if it is leads you need to optimize your ads to get higher CTR and then optimize your landing page for a higher conversion rate!

50$ per lead is really crazy! i'm sure you did bad job

IF you want some leads from Fb Lead i suggest you use promoted post and a click in your opt in page.

    So you can pay less.

BUT imho there are lot better ways to generate leads: use Solo Ads, in classified wf forum here, or

google adwords display, you can even target people's gmail!

Also you can use banner in forum of your niche.

$1 CPL is cheap.... Depending on your niche, CPL on FB can be as high as $8 to $12

I recently tried Facebook Lead Ads a Solar Power client, but after a small test run we got NIL leads. For our small test we spent $20 over 3 days. Target audience was Homeowners in a large city. FB says we could reach 2 million homeowners. Over the 3 days the total reach was just 500. I am confident our Ad Image was good because we've used same with Google and had good results but very expensive.

Facebook ads are not worthwhile as the clicks are found more fake and unauthentic, so i would rather advise for running and testing Facebook adds for low budget e.g 10$ or 20 $ and then analyse the the result. As the facebook algorithm has been updated recently.

Lead Generation is a hot topic and every time I find myself discussing it on a call I wonder why I have not written about it yet on our blog. It's a topic I am very passionate about and it is incredibly easy to generate leads using a Facebook ad campaign.
    It's cost efficient
It builds Brand Awareness and Loyalty
