Showing the Title, Description + Image when linking to your Website

You know how it is when you link to your Website in some of the social platforms. Your site's title, description and image automatically comes up in the form or shows up in the post.

However, I find that in my case, sometime it works, sometime it doesn't (i.e. sometime the image is missing or the wrong title shows up, etc).

Is that something that can be controlled in the codes or something?

Please advise. Thanks.

    Well, what I usually do is I remove the post and then repost it again. I do this until the image preview comes out. As for the title, I haven't encountered this problem. Does it display incorrect characters? Or is it showing something completely different? -Micah

    I'm wondering if it has something to do with this:

    <meta property='og:title' content='Title of the article"/>
    <meta property='og:image' content='//media.example.com/ 1234567.jpg"/>
    <meta property='og:description' content='Description that will show in the preview"/>
    <meta property='og:url' content='//www.example.com/URL of the article" />
    Has anyone here had experience with those kind of meta codes?
