Auto Schedulers Dead?

Are schedulers dead now with the new rules on FB and twitter? I relied heavily on mine (eClincher) and now am thinking of cancelling my account completely. Any opinions?

The freelance social media manager I hired has been using a scheduler tool as well (Hootsuite) for years and there apparently hasn't been any problem even with the changes on social media sites. I don't think there's any problem with you continuing your use of scheduler tools. I do always like it if my manager makes a spontaneous post at times, especially if it's about something that happened very recently.

    Hi girrllie,

Maybe not entirely dead buddy but especially with recent Twitter changes we are seeing a trend toward less automating and more manual engagement.

Users are being goaded to actually engage folks manually, 1 to 1, which is brilliant. Schedule a few updates then engage a bunch more and your business grows much more quickly. I have seen this on Twitter especially. I ditched my plug in that tweeted old posts over a month ago. I engaged folks freely, 1 to 1, personalizing chats. Everything really began to pop when I talked to people more and at them less.

Definitely do a wee bit of automating I'd say but focus heavily on engaging folks 1 to 1, personalizing interactions. This makes you memorable, and memorable folks on social build bonds which lead to increasing business growth.
