Has Anyone Find Twitter Good For Traffic To Your Website?

Hi all,
Seems a lot of talks about how Twitter can help business growth driving traffic and conversion to your online business/website/blog. I recently did a study. What I found out was no matter how great your tweet is, no matter how many likes & retweets you received, retweets and likes are worthless. Because there was NO click to website, therefore, there's no real website traffic, which leads to NO conversions? The only clicks recorded in analytics are "Robotic" clicks generated right after each tweet sent right away you see clicks shown, but in reality those were just all robotic. No REAL clicks. How to know? Well, using a link shortener with clicks tracking those robotic clicks are shown, but analytics at the destination site no clicks.

So, I conclude that Twitter is NOT a good place when it comes to generate traffic to your website. Do any of you feel different? Did the robotic clicks happened to you too? And, I guess, do you still waste time on Twitter? I don't, but I would like to know if maybe people give Twitter too much credits that they really not as expected?

Would appreciate it if I get some feefback. Thanks.

Like any site Waw, Twitter mirrors back your skills developed using the site.

Don't blame the tool aka Twitter. Blame the craftsman-woman aka...YOU LOL!

Poking fun here but really; I drive traffic through Twitter because I spent the past 7 years:

    - retweeting people
    - chatting folks up 1 to 1
    - retweeting all my thousands of posts and guest posts
    - not giving up and quitting because I attached to any outcome like traffic

Work networks resonant with ya but don't quit on Twitter if it feels fun. It won't quit on you if ya keep RTing folks and engaging people 1 to 1, chatting, asking, answering, all that good stuff.

I think it's more of a give-and-take relationship when you want to use Twitter as your platform for marketing. It isn't all about you. You also need to interact with other people. Retweet, comment, and like other people's work, too. This way, you are gaining attention. People will get curious and would check your website out.

I agree with your post many times your post liked and retweeted but you didn't get any traffic on website. But it is not true for all industries many entertainment industry websites are getting huge traffic through twitter. Sometimes we also need trendy and relevant # tags.

I would like say that it is extremely useful to have a twitter account connected to your website because it helps to make more good traffic and followers. The more followers you have the more customers you gain. It helps to increase your business. It certainly helped my business by getting connected to ECIR pro and it really helped my business.

I dont think twitter is good for traffic. When we compare twitter to other social media like facebook and instagram they are really great for getting traffic. So you can go with any one of them.

      Hey William,
First of all, thanks for the reply to my post. Secondly, I just clicked on the link you placed in your reply to check out what you got on the table. It looks bad. There is no "content" whatsoever on your landing page but a box saying: "Yes! Give Me My Free Silver Membership Access Now!" After many years of dealing with online scams, I'm NOT saying you are, but I would never join or have anything to do with your website the facts that it's very suspicious. Please don't take it the wrong way, don't be mad, am simply stating my honest opinion when doing a visit to your site . Good luck.

      • Hi there, Sorry if that confused you in a way I will not push you to try signing up. But just want to clear things up and let you know that I am not one of the many online scams : ) In fact, I shared the link because it did work for me and wanted to have you try it too for your site. Thanks, anyway,

You can check your Google analytics and head to the social resources (something like that). You'd see top social networks that are sending traffic to your site. Twitter is a free social network platform wherein I could advertise whatever I have to share, so I would definitely take advantage of its use.
