Do you experience this problem also??

I created a Facebook page and I seem to be getting wrong people liking it? It seems to happen with my Facebook advertising as well it's really a matter of concern to me and wondered if you experience that as well?

The reason it's worrying is you kind a lose faith in paid advertising also as I had bad experiences with solo ads as well? Now I don't know which strategy to turn to? I guess these are the things that make most people throw in the towel to never turn back?

I am not prepared to do that just yet myself, didn't really consider it an option?

It's vicious??

Would appreciate your thoughts on this.

    Taffie,
yes I have noticed the same thing happening with some of my pages.

Its a bit weird. I have done a search on google about this and there is a possibility that some of these likes can be spam, which Facebook is trying to get rid of.

Otherwise its just a strange coincidence.

I only pay small amounts on advertising on Facebook - $5 a time so you could do something similar then at least you are not committing yourself to a lot of financial exposure.

    Best Regards

It is very weird, they do look like spam indeed, but senseless spamming though as the people don't even seem to be doing anything with their lives.

A lot of marketing courses talk about how great FB advertising is and there are many "uninformed" people throwing money at FB as though it was the one traffic source that solved all marketing problems. Here are a few suggestions:

    1. Be sure to focus and target your FB marketing to the greatest degree possible, even if doing so limits the "reach" you get.
    2. Make your offer extremely compelling. If your targeting is correct, you should be able to get your "call to action" moved upon.
    3. Make your offer stand out. Many marketing campaigns are lost to "ad blindness" and you need to be sure that yours get noticed.
    4. Important: The three T's. Test, track, tweak. I know it's old hat but in my experience, many marketers still don't test their campaigns, track the results, and tweak the variables to improve their ad's acceptance. It can make the difference between a losing ad and one that makes a profit!
    5. Start off with small campaigns, optimize, then try again on a small basis. The idea is to not scale to a higher budget until your marketing performs at an acceptable level (profit).
    6. Join FB groups in your niche and notice who is there and what topics are actively discussed. Even though you won't be advertising directly in the group, you can come up with great keywords, marketing "angles," and trends that you can take advantage of in future campaigns.
    7. This goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway). Social media sites are not the best venues for marketing in many niches. They are not the "end all" of traffic sources. Market research in your specific niche should tell you where your audience can be reached in concentrated numbers.
    8. "Cold calling" ads asking for a sale are usually not the best way to approach niche participants. Give prospects a compelling reason to join your email list, nurture them along so they see the value you offer and begin to trust your suggestions. This is not the easiest road, but in my experience, it is more profitable sending offers to your trusting fans than cold prospects (even if they are somewhat targeted).
    The best to you,

    Steve

I am getting concerned if Facebook is serving my posts to the right people, I say that because I am getting people from India and Pakistan only and noone else, in fact it started with India, now found how to block countries you don't want your posts served, now I look today and see Pakistan has started.

I have tried targeting but still got wrong people from the locations I had chosen, it's such a concern I think. I do admit there is a lot of testing required though, and yes, many marketers do not. You have good points thanks.

But paid by who and for what, because if anything as a page owner I should be the one paying them isn't it? Apparently they have been coming from India and Pakistan, countries that I have blocked now.

I sometimes think it's Facebook? Even when I boost or promote now, nothing happens, I mean no meaningful conversions even if it where just click throughs? Bit concerning.

Yes i too have faced this problem. But the problem solved at its own. There is no need to worry about it.
