How you sell online using free Facebook traffic?

I have been using free facebook traffic to promote my affiliate products for more than a year.

I have tried different approaches and paid for expensive lessons online.

I learned a few things about selling on Facebook using free traffic- which I will like to share here.
.

Here is a list of the five don't when trying to sell online:

1. Never pursue your prospects or they will run away.

2. People do not want propaganda, they want participation.

3. Social media portals are all about fun and relaxing chats and posts. People do not want you nagging about your products.

4. Be like a friend- having casual conversations, engaging them in your product, etc.

5. Don't say to your prospects: buy it, what is your budget, check out this product.


Here is a list of the five do's when trying to sell online:

1. Engage- If you do not engage your customers, they will never be interested in listening to you. This is a two-way communication, not just you constantly talking.

2. Feedback- Just like you would listen to a friend, it is important to take your customer's feedback very seriously.

3. Fun content- Don't let your content be bland. Don't simply write about a deal and say "buy this now!". No, you must tell your customers how they would benefit from your product. Post your products with fun advertisements and content to capture their attention.

4. Listen to them- To convince them, become a friend instead of a salesman who only nags. Salesman sometimes doesn't understand what the customer actually wants. Listen to them, and give them what they want.

5. Share stories- To engage the customer, share stories and secrets. Tell about stories that are relevant to your product. This way, they feel more comfortable and trust your product more.

I admit there is nothing really profound about what I stated above.

A lot are common sense.

      I adopt the following approach on Facebook which take only few minutes to do each day:

      Step 1- Add friends:

      I will add 20- 30 new friends each day- not just any friends but the friends in my niche. Say my niche is in golfing. I will find the facebook pages of golfers and add them and their friends. I gradually increase the number of friends I add each day so Facebook will not be alarmed.

      Step 2- Interact & post valuable stuff each day:

      I post something related to my niche e.g., golfing tips or photos each day. Say your niche is cooking you can post cooking recipes. After posting I will interact with them. The key is: act naturally like a friend.

      Step 3- Post promotional stuff:

      Once in a while I will post some promotional stuff- but I don't do it every day.

      I have done this on my facebook page. You can search for "Daniel Quek" and see how I did it.

        This is the step of steps. Share value, and also, interact. Social works well for social folks who share content helping their core audience.

    I've done well selling by educating via Facebook Live. Instead of hard selling someone you simply educate them on the BENEFITS of your product or service. Or, you teach them about a topic related to your product and then let them know they can reach out to you with questions.

    I will like to share some tips on the Free Traffic Method here:

    1. Be selective of the messages you put on Facebook.

    2. You can sell on Facebook, but don't do it all the time.

    3. Put some messages on Facebook without a promo link.

    4. Do not put your affiliate link in the message because it decreases the reach, put it in as a comment after you have received some comments.

    4. You must always get interactive with comments on Facebook.

    5. Use the story telling method to create Facebook only posts (not always promotional).

    6. You can put the same messages on your blog as long term strategy (to attract organic traffic from search engines).

    7. Focus on your Facebook friends and followers.

    8. Join relevant groups.

    9. Follow prominent IM guru/experts and emulate them.

    Also, posting in relevant niche group is very effective. But you must prove your worth first before posting any "commercial".

    Besides Facebook, try posting in other social media too like Twitter and Instagram. Do it regularly. Don't be salesy.

    How not to annoy everyone on Facebook?

    Here is a list of things that will annoy your prospects:
    • Buy it!
    • What is your budget?
    • Are you the one to make the decision or should I be talking to someone else?
    • This is not my department, sorry.
    • I haven't used this product.
    • Check out this product.
    • Flooding email newsletters that are not relevant
    • Social media messages every other hour
    • Adding to groups without permission
    • Constantly pressurizing to buy
    • Not knowing all details about their product

    Go ahead and post these if you want to annoy everyone

    The bots will answers prospects who answer my ad, and follow-up automatically.

    The cost of these ads are very cheap, almost free.

    Selling products on Facebook is a topic that has been red-hot for years. Currently, Facebook offers a good plate of opportunities for selling your products... but they are generously spiced with all kinds of complications.

    Hard it is to balance between adding more (and more, and more) features yet not becoming monstrous. This border is thin, and to me, Facebook is about to overstep. Try setting up your Facebook store, and you will hardly withhold comments like that:

    "OMG waat?"

    "Facebook Shop and Facebook Marketplace are two different places for shopping and selling? So which one is right?"

    I am currently working on using paid Facebook traffic and messenger bot.

    The cost of these Facebook traffic is very cheap, only a few cents.

    Combining it with manychats messenger bots, the traffic is virtually free.

    I will update this thread on my progress.

    When it comes to using a Facebook Fan page to get targeted traffic there are a few things to keep in mind:

    1. People on Facebook are looking to be SOCIAL.
    2. Don't think about selling as the primary strategy for you Facebook Fan Page. You are creating the page to get people to have fun and be engaged.
    3. WHAT PEOPLE WANT TO SHARE -
    a. Fun and Engaging
    b. Entrepreneurial
    c. Motivational
    d. Strategy & Solution...
    4. Ratio - 85% - 90% of your posts should be fun and engaging. (NO SELLING)
    10% - 15% Promotion

    2 - Use an ecommerce website builder to create an online store, then automatically link your products to your Facebook Store page. This requires little technical know-how and is simple to set up and manage.
