What are the best social media platforms if I'm building a list about an online marketing subniche?

My current plan is to use Youtube as my content base for all video stuff. Text and image content will also go on my blog.

I have signed up to a bunch of relevant Facebook groups as step #2.

I'm not sure if that alone is a good start for building an audience/list/brand. So I'm contemplating Twitter and a few forums too. Of course this means spreading time across more media.

Can you guys advise on whether Twitter is worth it for the online marketing niche?

Also, are there any others you would consider? Google + is in mind as well though I know little about it.

    Howdy,

Some of the best social media platforms for business, like Facebook and Instagram, have become essential tools in the modern marketer's toolbox. More and more consumers are using these channels to find new companies and engage with their favorite brands. However, most companies can't be everywhere at once, especially small businesses with tight marketing budgets. That's why it's vital for businesses to be strategic about which social media platforms they work to build a presence on.
    Thanks!

Depends upon where your audience is and your goals for social media. Facebook groups are a great start since there's immediate engagement around the topic. Twitter is good for broadcasting your links and info to others who don't know you but the staying power of a tweet is short. Instagram is good for building a following. If you use any kind of content marketing, seriously consider Pinterest. I'd advise no more than 3 or you won't have much time left for anything else.

Facebook, twitter, YouTube are probably good and usual platforms to build a list of your online marketing sub niche.

The main and popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Linkedin and youtube are the best platform if you build a list about an online marketing sub-niche.

    good luck
