$1 for 1 Instagram Follower?

Hello, I started a new Instagram account for my dog business a few months back.

I've never done much on Instagram and its all new to me. I've been looking up on how to grow my following and I must say the bots scare me because its obviously against the Instagram rules and you could get banned which I do not want to happen.

So instead I started to do a little test. I done a short 1 min video doing a giveaway and in the giveaway I told people that I would give them one or my products if they done the following...

1. Followed me
2. Tagged a friend

I done some Paid Instagram advertising to this video and yesterday I spent $30 and gained about 30 followers from this.

Some people tagged loads of friends and some only 1 or 2. I didnt get that many comments maybe about 30 to 40 in total over this few days.

I was in 2 minds weather to keep this ad running? I didnt know if all of a sudden it would turn into a snow ball effect and it would get tones of traffic?

Maybe it would have?

But I'm not sure if paying $1 for 1 follower is a good thing or a bad thing? Its very expensive dont you think? Maybe I'm wrong and I should have kept this add rolling? Can someone give me some advice on this.

Thanks

Liam

If you are getting 1 follower for $1. It doesn't necessarily mean that it will be good. Social Media following isn't something like leads. They can turn good or even bad. Its irrelevant to say anything before testing it.

I personally do believe that if you do everything with caution, there shouldn't be any problem with growing even with bots.

It's kind of expensive, in my opinion. Followers are much harder to monetize. IT's not the same as getting 1 clients for 1$ with an ad.

I think you are spending more than what you should earn. First, try to get followers from the same niche account. Have some words with them like drop some comments in their new post and do this for at least one month later than you will get followers and comments also from them. Try to gain followers by showing them real you and not that you are using bots to attract them.

  • You should keep the ad rolling only if the followers can be converted into customers and you can achieve positive ROI.
