Social Media Marketing Agency

I'm hoping to start marketing Social Media services to some local businesses and I'm great with everything else other than price.

I understand the client pays me $1,000 lets say, and that will include Facebook ads and a couple other things.

My question is, how do I know how much of that budget to spend on the clients ad?

What do I do if in the middle of the month they want to do another ad?

Does the client pay a separate fee for the ad spend on top of the $1,000 a month?

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks.

If you don't know what to do, what to charge, etc - why would you expect to be paid $1k?

Instead of asking how to get more money or what the client might want you to do....I'd suggest you come up with a plan for what you CAN DO for a client.

Small business people aren't dumb with their money - why would anyone pay you $1k a month to "include Facebook ads and a couple other things"?
If this thread is a true indicator of your approach/experience, you really need to rethink the idea in my opinion.

Why are you focusing on how much my hypothetical pricing is?

My question is about pricing structure and what to do in specific scenarios.

Not what my services include or don't include.

I think the simple way to charge is per hour, but if you go the flat rate way it is harder to judge your costs. Flat rate is usually for higher profile cases. Another way to is take a commission of the media spend itself, given this also based on higher budget projects. Needless to say I think for small business work hourly rates is the best way to go.
