New Monetization Features for Facebook Creators

Facebook had recently announced 4 new Monetization Features for creators, in an attempt to lure creators away from competitor platforms like YouTube and Twitch,

Here are some of the features that they will be introducing:

1) Brand Collabs Manager (updated with better analytics for audience engagement and ad targeting)



2) Creator Studio (updated with an Ad Breaks Manager & Monetization Dashboard for Facebook, Instagram and IGTV)



3) Facebook is testing out "Stars" - which allows users to tip their favourite streamers (that is currently only available for gaming live streams)



4) Monetization Features for Groups ie. you can run a subscription based membership & Facebook would take a 30% cut.



What are your thoughts on all these new features? Do you think Facebook has potential to become the dominant platform for video and beat YouTube?

      YouTube has a couple of different monetization features and channels with over 30K+ Subscribers can provide Channel Memberships for $4.99 which gives access to perks like exclusive live streams, videos, etc.

      It was actually just announced today that Channel Memberships will be getting 5 more tiers of subscriptions at different price points and YouTube takes around 30% of net revenue as well.
