Facebook introducing Search Ads for select Advertisers

According to Marketing Land, Facebook is testing a new placement for Search Ads and has already provided access to some advertisers.

What we know so far
- They've been testing it for the past six months and now are expanding it
- Only available to advertisers in the retail, auto and e-commerce space at the moment
- Appears in search for queries with same commercial intent
- Format is similar to Sponsored News Feed Ads (includes headline, image and caption)
- Objectives available: product catalog sales, conversions and traffic

What are your thoughts on this new ad placement? Have you gotten access to it yet?

Thanks, still haven't seen it on our clients' accounts - but Facebook getting into the search game would be huge!

It's limited right now to a small test group of advertisers that facebook selected for a trial before a larger roll out

Only available to advertisers in the retail, auto and e-commerce space at the moment, wow they are really out of touch, they planned to do something like that years ago and they plan cryptocurrency in the next year anyway, correct ?

From what I read and heard the other day they've been testing this concept for about a year using the retail, auto, and ecommerce space but I think they're beginning to role it out and expand a little faster now (sort of an assumption though, I'm not entirely sure of that). One of the moderators posted that he just received access the other day (not sure if he falls into the retail, auto, and ecommerce space or not though, I probably should've asked).

I received access to Search Ads about a week ago and I don't really fall into those categories. My niche is falls under media & entertainment + events. So I assume they are gradually rolling it out to other advertisers as well.

That's what I'm thinking as well after the response from the other moderator. I'm just learning how to use Ads manager over the past few days so I don't know whether I've got access to it or not, but I'm assuming probably not yet.

My ad campaign seems to be doing pretty well so far but I have a couple of bugs to work out on my landing pages and in my autoresponder.

I don't have access to that yet but it should be interesting why it becomes available to me.
