Tips for effectively using Twitter to market your business

A modern business, whether it's an SME or a conglomerate, cannot flourish without social media. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter - name it, and the list goes on. And then you have your Twitter account, spending hours tweeting, retweeting, liking, responding to DMs and tweets, following influencers and competitors, sharing content, all those things.

Twitter, when used correctly, can engage and connect with customers faster than even Facebook Chat. Post a tweet, and people are retweeting (and commenting) and liking and replying. Twitter also tends to lend informal and short conversations between customers. You quickly engage customers by replying to mentions and direct messages, respond to a retweet, and maybe even participate in a trending conversation. Twitter also has a large user base, including potential customers. A Twitter presence also means you are creating a brand identity that's unique and appealing to your target audience. Here are some ways to keep your Twitter marketing engine ported and polished:

Use hashtags

Hashtags are ubiquitous, and an integral part of the Twitterverse. They improve brand presence, and lets you join trending topics whether locally or worldwide. Furthermore, you might also wanna use branded hashtags - that is, slogans or keywords designed around your company's specific marketing campaign. Examples would be Coca-Cola's #ShareACoke or Microsoft's #SurfaceProX.

Deal with customer complaints via DMs

If an irate customer replies to a tweet you just posted minutes ago, detailing you why he/she has trouble accessing his/her account, do not reply to that tweet with your workaround. Instead, respond to the user via direct message. It's smarter that way - direct messages lend a feeling of exclusivity and privacy, and you are not limited to just 280 characters.

GIFs and memes make tweets more fun - and relevant

GIFs and memes make social media more colourful and fun. They connect to your followers, and responding to conversations are sure to increase engagement and interest. Modern problems require modern solutions, right?

    Great post!

I personally don't use much on twitter, but I'm good with Instagram.

Few ways to grow audiences quickly,

    1. Hashtag: is common sense for now hashtag is important, but I'm going to share 1 great free tool for hashtag generation -> https://displaypurposes.com/

    2. At the start, your followers will grow very very slow if you just depending on posting and pray hard people to follow you then it will take a super long time.

Here what you can do -> do whatever ways and get to 100 followers first. (like post, follow people, commenting and etc...)

Then start swapping shoutout with other account owners, best is in similar niche which you can easily find a lot.

Keep find account to swap shoutout with you and repeat.

There are many other ways to grow your followers, but I will share this 2 ways hope it help.

    Cheers!

The use of Twitter is increasing and as you said, you can get advantage from Twitter, if you use it correctly. Problem lies here only as here you get follows from most irrelevant audiences. Twitter is now full of fake accounts and if you keep a check on your followers, you'll suddenly realize you have so much of trash in the list of your followers.

It's annoying to see mentions, retweets from useless Twitter accounts and that actually demotivates. What would be your reaction, if you tweet great, use nice hash tags and the result is no retweet, no mentions? Besides 100 new followers from any country with language barriers?
