Facebook Banned My Domain

Hi guys during July, I started promoting one of my blogs on facebook groups. I was promoting blog posts that were exactly about the topic each of these groups was about and I was getting a lot of traffic.

At the beginning, I got a few warnings from facebook to slow down which I did but after a while, fb started limiting the number of posts I could share each day and even made my account unable to post for a few days.

The limits were becoming more strict by the day and then one day I noticed that while adding the url in the posts it wasn't getting published. I noticed this even in PMs where I was getting a message that this site violates abusive content rules or that it doesn't meet community standards

This was making no sense since all the shares were blog posts about technology related topics and always on groups that were not just about tech but specifically about what each post was about.

I guess that a competitor reported me on fb and then fb banned my website. I tried report this on facebook but I never heard back from them, so if someone has any idea on how I could lift this fb block it would be awesome

I not sure whether will this work or not, but you can try to go Fiverr. They are people offer service to unblock facebook URL.

I came across these services while searching for some facebook service.

I have this same expience. Basically Facebook has it rules when it comes to group posting. Facebook has moderators allover the world, they have access to all facebook groups. A competitor don't need to report you. one of their bots or crawers will signal their moderators about your activity.

You should understand that, facebook is a business, they enecourage post boosting instead of you advertising on facebook groups.

I think you can still do so, if the group adims allow, but you have to limit the rate of posting.

HeyleelDotCom is right! Blogs, forums, social networks, no-one likes when someone redirects their traffic to some different place. So, you can promote your website, but be careful and not so aggressive. For axample, you can try to add 5 posts without link and one with link. In addition, you can type website url but without link. Google also identifies such 'links'.

If you are posting on a platform you don't own and aren't paying for - you should take warnings seriously. You continued to post links to your blog after being warned - after being limited - after you couldn't post at all sometimes.

I'm not Facebook but I'd guess that's why you were banned.

I would advise against hiring someone on Fiverr who makes claims like that - the person who posted didn't say 'it works' or 'i've used it' - only 'I've seen it'. Using unapproved methods might eliminate any chance of regaining your acct status.

No one here can fix this for you - that's the problem. You need to use the Facebook Help forums to find an answer.

Why did you ignore their warnings?

It's never a good idea to ignore warnings from the owner of the sites you're playing on.

But, really, why did you ignore? What did you think they'd do next? Send you a basket of fruit?

You have not told us what kind of warning you got, but I am sure they would have told you what rule you were breaking and I am sure they would have sent you to the rule. I would have re-read the rules and change my blog-posting accordingly. If you manage to get unbanned, read those warning and the verbiage that came with the notice of banning and learn from them what you need to do differently.

I didn't ignore it, as I said I shared less and even stop sharing for a few days so what else should I do? Stop sharing forever? It would kill the point of using fb otherwise. Additionally I was never spamming or promoting anything commercial, I was sharing how-to tech guides on topics group members were interested and I wad getting likes and encouraging comments from other members or even the admins of the groups and that's I was getting a lot of traffic

I understand you think you adjusted. Your adjustment ignored their concern, or else they would not have banned you.

Not trying to be argumentative; just want to point out, so you do not run into this again, if you make changes that do not address completely all the points in their warning, they consider their warning ignored and will ban you.

That says it all, right there.

FB doesn't care for the way you "use" it.

You just have to fly under their radar and adjust the posting activity so that wouldn't ring a bell to them.

    This happened to me before.

I first checked: facebook url debugger >> https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/

I removed most of the post on facebook with that link.

Then I opened a ticket to Facebook. after few days, my domain got unblocked.

You can always use a new one and redirect traffic to old domain. Try getting cheap domain like xyz for this purpose.

Have you tried starting your own page?
I've been posting blog posts that way for years and never got any warning.

I've read somewhere that you could use fb ads and then talk to ad support... some people reported that it worked.

No idea how you managed to get banned on fb if you didn't spam but I guess you did.
Now and then I use fb groups and can post to about 70 groups in 1 go... but again I do it like once a month as for my niche fb doesn't work.
