
Twitter is backtracking
As it turns out, they're shelving this until they find a way to memorialise users who have passed away.
We've heard you on the impact that this would have on the accounts of the deceased. This was a miss on our part. We will not be removing any inactive accounts until we create a new way for people to memorialize accounts |
As you might know, Facebook has a way of memorialising user accounts of those who passed away and requesting for memorialisation is pretty simple - a relative only has to report to Facebook that the owner of a Facebook account has indeed deceased, and send a scanned copy of the death certificate.
