How to start doing Influencer Marketing

Hi Guys,

I'm doing social media marketing for an app development company 'Appverticals' and a luxury clothing brand (can't disclose the name).
We're not running ad campaigns yet, I'm planning on starting off with Influencer Marketing. Where can I find the influencers for Instagram? And, how can I contact them (I tried messaging some blue tick profiles, but, I don't get any response) ?

I've been getting messages from people for influencer marketing, how can I be sure that these people aren't spam accounts?

    Search google in the below format:
    your niche site:instagram.com.
    For example sport site:instagram.com
    this would list the Instagram profiles of the most followed people and influencers on your niche.

    You can do a background check to isolate spammers and people who can actually help you. Follow them and look at the discussions.

    There are FB Groups on influencer marketing . . . go there, ask for advice and ask for contacts directly.

    Also, there are a LOT of platforms for influencer marketing (just Google it), who make it easy to set up promotions etc.

    Yes, you should do your due diligence and check out their accounts before promoting with them . . . there are online tools which can help you do that.
