LinkedIn when you have a 9-5

Hello!

I was wondering if anybody else was having this issue. I have a normal 9-5 job which I have a LinkedIn account for, I am connected with colleagues too. But, my problem is that I am trying to grow a marketing agency (difficult because of whichever ******* ate the bat soup). When potential customers track me down on LinkedIn, all they find is a profile which talks about my 9-5 role with no mention of the marketing agency I am secretly growing in the background.

Do people run 2 LinkedIn accounts? Or have multiple roles on one account? Bear in mind that the 9-5 is a sales role and not particularly related to marketing. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Eddie,
    You add your marketing agency with a current start date, that will place it in the top position. Also, you want to edit your profile to reflect your marketing agency.

    Yeah that will be tough if you're obviously working a 9-5 as it will be displayed in your profile job details, but you can try to create an agency page and work on that instead.

    There are FB Groups on influencer marketing . . . go there, ask for advice and ask for contacts directly.

    Also, there are a LOT of platforms . . . for influencer marketing (just Google it), who make it easy to set up promotions etc.

    Yes, you should do your due diligence and check out their accounts before promoting with them . . there are online tools which can help you do that.
