Looking for advice on spreading my traffic from other social media sites

Okay here is the situtation that I am in. I have a website and Facebook page that has about 40k followers. I am getting about 500 unique visitors a day and I am making affiliate and adsense income. This setup is 6 years old.

Most of my traffic is from facebook, and I want to build up other social media traffic streams in the event that something were to happen to my facebook account. So right now all my eggs are in one basket. So Warriors what would your advice be? What social sites might I branch out to and how do I generate new followers?

Second question is that I get many direct messages on facebook for a certain type or model of product. Now I don't have access to most of what they are looking for and I want to be able to collect these leads and sell them to companies that manufacture or sell said product. Is this possible to do on facebook, I can drive traffic from there to a page on my website to collect the leads, but where do I go to sell them? Directly to the manufacturer or company?

Thanks

I would move to Instagram, sometimes it happens same people who didnt convert on facebook will convert on IG.

Regarding to second question, selling emails without their permission is Illegal.

Thanks, luciesmazanska! no selling email addresses!!
I don't like being spammed, you don't like being spammed, the EU doesn't like spam - that's why the whole she-bang with GDPR!
It's illegal all over the world (I believe) to collect email addresses and sell without obtaining permission.

Get a twitter account and build up your followers on it. A twitter account with 40k followers is impressive and can bring in tons of traffic.

I'd look into Instagram marketing and Youtube marketing if I were you. Also, you should always do some SEO.

To answer your second question, it really depends on the product itself. You'll have to contact the manufacturer, then do dropship or store the stock yourself.

The answer is in your question it all depends upon your product and try to make your social media presence clear having a twitter, Instagram an YouTube account with a ton of followers which can bring a lot of traffic. Also do not stop your seo work.

100% Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. You want to reach out to as much audience as you can. You could even push followers from your Facebook to support and check out these other profiles when you make them. Many people will use different platforms and prioritise them; you want to attract them all. You could then post different things on each social media (depending on what you sell). Twitter is great for engaging with others and also keeping people up to speed with anything exciting going on. You could also use automation tools to help manage content across different socials; a real time saver. If you are looking to branch into different ones, you need to be consistent. Instagram is good for engaging too, with stories (Q&A,polls, quizzes). It really depends how you would utilise them and stay on brand. You seem to be amazing on Facebook! Maybe just try the same strategies on other social. I would love to hear about how you gained this success on Facebook. In terms of the second question, I stick by what the other comments have said and advised. Good Luck!

Focus on your product. What is it about? which platform suits it the best? and then move to that account.

Talking about the leads, I think you should create a landing page offering something that is valuable and achieve the goal by capturing the leads

Just to make things clear I would not be collecting email addresses on Facebook. I would drive traffic to my website and have a proper legal way for the vistor to leave their preferred contact information so that a salesman can call them back.

So far I like the idea of twitter as it seems that FB and IG have the same rules and I would worry about losing both accounts if one were closed for any reason. Thanks to all that replied.

Go for targeting Instagram and Twitter users for this purpose. Both of these platforms can be very useful for bringing in traffic and establishing a strong online presence with the right kind of strategies.
