Facebook groups - growth hacking - how?

Hello guys,

I am wondering if there is an 'easy' way to capitalize on Facebook groups. I read a lot of stuff about bringing value, promoting group in other channels, moderating it, etc.

However, are there any other tips/hacks that can help with fast growing your group? What decides if group appears in search results when you type in a keyword? How to get first 100/1000 people in group without spending hours and hours on 'promoting it' and if you do not have (or can't use) other channels?

Are there any sources of information regarding that matter? Or maybe FB groups are not worth it and it is a waste of time?

How long did it take you to build an audience and were you able to monetize it?

    thats a hard question, simply said, there are no shortcuts, you either spend your own $$$ to save some time or you will be hard working and get what you want. I know this is something what people dont like to hear but thats the fact...

    Monetize is not as easy as they let it to be, if no one knows you or ever heard about you. You just have to make good content, pay to promote veey offen and try and hecked the algorithm. Best of luck

    A simple model is a follows:

    1. Set Group Up
    2. Offer tons of upfront free value
    3. Build you tribe of loyal fans
    4. Set up your own products
    5. Offer your loyal fans an affiliate option
    6. Your fans will drive your traffic

    What I have noticed about the FB groups especially the ones with tens of thousands of members is they are full of people spamming their products. You really don't get any quality discussions going on, just posts after posts of whatever they are selling. I no longer bother with them.

    I believe that you need to from the start set the tone of your Facebook Group, and find ways to build engagement. You want others interacting not only with your posts and content, but with each other. Then they will bring in others to the group by sharing posts.
    • Doing a 5 or 10 day challenge is a great way to build a group of interested and active followers
    • Posting LIVE in your Facebook group will increase engagement and Facebook will even push your Live video outside the group at times.
    • Paid promotions that share the story and purpose of your group can also bring in new members.
    • Doing certain daily topic will increase engagement as well
