Instagram rolls out QR codes globally

Instagram is now rolling out QR codes to the platform. This new feature will let users generate QR codes and will be scannable to all QR-supporting camera apps. The idea is that businesses can just display their QR codes, and have users scan these codes to open that business's Instagram account. Before, users would have to manually search for the business's Instagram account.

Other social media platforms also employ QR codes, including Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and Spotify. It's also notable that iOS 11 and later devices natively support reading QR codes without installing a third-party app.

      I think the benefit to this would be if your business Instagram account also has Instagram shopping enabled. So if your customer scanned your QR code and followed you on Instagram, you can post and sell new products through your account.

      It's also easier to use a QR code when marketing instead of asking people to search for your account. Having a QR code would also be an advantage to new businesses who weren't able to get the Instagram handles that they want because it's unavailable. They don't have to worry about having consistent account names if all your customers need to do to reach you is to scan a QR code.

    thats good QR codes are now getting a place of password or id instagram is a good for marketers now hard to make fake id which is good.
