How to target your specific audience on Instagram

Hey all,

Wanted to pop on here as we are soon going to be starting fresh on Instagram with a rebrand. We want this to grow and be a fresh start being able to target businesses and retailers. Seen as we are a web development agency and sell a service, we make content tailored to them but we never see them noticing the content or following consistently. We try and find an approach to engaging with these pages but it's not as simple and has not worked much. Has anyone got any tips (or experience) when using Instagram as a service-based business? We currently create good infographics that cover topics of what they could need but nobody is seeing them!

Response: If you are contacting some person to pay him to post on his Instagram timeline is 3 out 30.

Meaning even if you are ready to pay them, only 5 to 7 will respond out of 30 and you will end up signing up 3.

Now you are providing a service. So the response will be lil low. The best way is to surprise them with a diff comment and try some out of box approach. If you are looking for such a service , you may need to change the platform.

This is from my experience.. and there may be some people who have succedded.

Hello there! Well, You need to have patience with it since it takes 3 to 6 months on average to build a good profile on social media platforms that attract more customers. The solution to your problem is active digital marketing. There are several ways in which you can reach your target audience:

Post at specific times each day of the week to reach a greater audience. People usually engage in Insta posts from 9 am to 6 pm while on weekends, the optimal time for posting your marketing content is from 11 am onwards.
    - Provide incentives like giveaways
    - Use appropriate hashtags for your business promotion
    - Broaden your network on Instagram by collaborating with social media influencers.
    - Look for trending posts to participate in the conversations
    - You can take assistance from the demographic data for a better understanding of your audience

I hope it will help you grow your target audience!

  • First of all you need to know what's your followers likes to see in order to post a great content. then write a killer captions that attracts everybody. and you need to know when your audience is online so that you can post in that time. this will gonna help in targeting much traffic. you need to analyses that what attracts your audience more, what they likes.

    Who are you targeting?

    Why on instagram?

Would you not be better off marketing to them on linkedin?

I mean, it seems like your target audience would be a business owner or manager... marketing director.

When those people go on instagram, if they go on instagram, it's not to do business.

When they go on linkedin, it's to do business.

I mean, there are two reasons people are responding:
    they do not notice you
they do not like what they notice.

You assume it's the first one.
    The fix to that:
    create content that interests them
accept that your target audience is not on that platform (or in enough numbers to warrant marketing on that platform).

The 2nd one is fixed with different content.

    Hi there,
When we start work on some project, it takes some time to flourish whatever the platform may be. To enhance traffic to your brand you must carry out deep research on Instagram relevant to your brand and see how they are doing. The next step would be to offer something extra and unique. Means as a beginner you have to present yourself in a different way thinking outside the box.
Keep doing your best efforts in the most sophisticated times when you think you can hit your target audience.
    All the best.

I agree with Dapk that instagram for service is difficult. If you really want to tackle instagram try going the motivational route. Motivational quotes for business owners, success quotes, inspiring content, etc. Be the bright light in that business owners timeline.

Find bigger pages around the topic you are trying to get into.

Spend some time analyzing the type of content your particular audience responds to.

Look at what is working for the page and try to reverse engineer it.

Remember interaction is key as well you want to engage with your audience as much as possible with all you do with your page. Remember it's social media and you have to be social with the people you are trying to attract.

Firstly, you need to research your competitors, their audience, content, tecnich of posting and so on, and then just develop your page, post as much as you can, interact with your audience

      Then what?

They are posting and their targeted audience seems to not care.

How does what you propose address the issue described in the original post?
