Facebook is Testing a Brand New 'Green Screen' Creation Option for Facebook Stories

The example above was shared by social media expert Matt Navarra. The new Green Screen option will be available within your Stories creation tools. If you select it, users will be able to add a photo or video from their Camera Roll, which will then be added as the background. Users will then be able to film themselves or post a still image that would be overlaid over that background visual.
The option comes from Instagram, where the Green Screen tool is already available. TikTok also provides a similar tool, and that's gained popularity. This isn't an original Facebook innovation - but that never stopped the social media giant before! For brands out there, this could prove to be a new way to get creative on the social network, and it's very probably worth considering using it because it has the potential to get rolled out more broadly in the app. There's no word as of yet on a full roll-out of the option, but some users have access to the Green Screen option in Facebook Stories right now.
