TikTok Just Launched Lead Generation Ads Aimed at Helping Advertisers Collect Audience Information

A new article on Social Media Today reports that TikTok is looking to help advertisers gain more direct insight on potential customers via a new Lead Generation ad option, which will enable brands to capture user data direct form their in-stream ads.



Lead Generation ads on TikTok include a CTA which leads users to a form. Much of the key response data can be auto-populated, streamlining the process. Lead Generation starts by making it easy for users to fill out a form and provide their information (e.g. name, email, phone) in order to signal their interest in that particular product or service. Additionally, basic information that our users provide to TikTok can also be automatically populated for an efficient experience between the business and user.

TikTok's Lead Generation also enables businesses to create fully customisable messages that are relevant to multiple customer segments. Leads can then be downloaded manually or if integrated with a business' CRM, leads can be immediately activated. For business on TikTok, the information in these forms is vital to ensure that they are reaching interested customers in a respectable way.

With Lead Generation, when users submit their information to TikTok, a privacy notice will be displayed stating that they are collecting users' information for advertisers. Both TikTok's privacy policy and the advertiser's privacy policy will be linked in the form.
