Youtube channel growth question

I own a sports YouTube channel focusing on the NFL, the NBA, college football, and boxing. However, I recently started to post content on my city's local college basketball program. I don't know what happened, but I am getting more views covering that particular team than with any other sport I cover. Recently, a considerable bulk of my subscribers have come from those videos. So should I break my channel into multiple channels focusing primarily on the NFL and the NBA? Any feedback would be appreciated.

It really depends on what your goal is; is this a business and if so, what videos are making you money? Focus on those channels and maybe ditch the rest. You're better off focusing on 2 sports rather than 4 because you'll spread yourself too thin and be average at all 4.
I would split the NFL and NBA and just focus on those because that's where you're seeing success. Double down and focus on growing what's working already.

Well if your focus its to make money then you should diversificate your channes ,Its better to have 10 channels who make you some money than 1 channel for 1 year and not making you any money

Sounds like you have found your path to growth, so you should keep on working that and keep growing. Since you didn't share any information on your channels scale, I would say that don't split it, until you are confident that you can get enough people to transfer to the new channel to monetize it in the first month.

What has worked for me is less is more and focus, double down on what is working and cut quickly what is not, rule of thumbs that tend to work well! But disclaimer: I'm not a Youtube expert, I hope any of the warriors is and can double check, best of luck
