A new article on Social Media Today reports that Twitter has new research on the impact that brand mentions within tweets have on actual shopping behaviors, and whether product discussions in the app lead to conversion.

Twitter partnered with Publicis to conduct a study of 9,600 consumers from US, UK, India, and Mexico to understand how they view brand mentions in different apps, and how these mentions influence their actions.
