Is Instagram slowly turning into TikTok?

As you know, Instagram was initially conceived as an image-only platform. Then later on 15-second video uploads were rolled out. Soon enough, it essentially took over Snapchat's market with Stories, and now there's Reels.

Chime in.

It depends on how each individual user chooses to use Instagram and TikTok. However, some key similarities between the two platforms include the following:

    - Both platforms are focused on short video content.
    - Both platforms are popular among younger users.
    - Both platforms allow users to share creative content with friends and followers.

At the same time, there are also some key differences between Instagram and TikTok, such as the following:

    - Instagram is more focused on photo sharing, while TikTok is more focused on video sharing.
    - Instagram has a larger user base than TikTok.
    - Instagram offers more privacy settings.

It's my personal view not worldwide.

Your view should be worldwide. I didn't expect such good explanation. Thanks)

Big social media platforms are constantly copying each other to siphon more users to their companies...Give them enough time and all platforms will be the same hehe Now, the platforms all keep their particularities and their strengths; regarding IG vs Tiktok, IG is more focused on image and it's not as fishy as TikTok (bots, origin, privacy problems...), I don't think Tiktok is able or willing to shake that off and maybe IG is trying to offer an "improved TikTok" with these problems solved
